FAQs
01
How is the consultation and surgery carried out?
Alison will receive your pet’s notes from your vet practice, with your permission, and your vet can talk to Alison about your pet before referral.
Alison can offer a consultation in person at your own vet practice on the day of surgery, or a phone consultation in advance, depending on your preference. Alison will take a complete history, discuss options, and explain surgery and aftercare. Surgery will be performed at your own practice, with the help of their staff. Alison will be on site while your pet recovers from anaesthesia. Your pet will then remain in the safe hands of your practice until it is time for them to come home.
If your pet’s condition is too complex for surgery to be performed at your own practice, Alison and your vet will recommend that you see her at the Moores Orthopaedic Clinic, near Basingstoke, or that you are referred to a large multidisciplinary practice.
02
How do follow ups work?
Alison will provide detailed discharge instructions to help you care for your pet at home after surgery. You will see your own vet for follow up care at your own practice. Alison will provide them with all the information they need to look after your pet, and she is available to them if they have any questions or need any help in the post-operative period.
03
How are payments handled?
Payment is made to your own practice.
